re: Dr JB complete Switchable 32 oz Feeder with Red Flowers (SE6025) "I just bought 4 of the 32 oz feeders with big mouths and I couldn't be happier. I have searched and searched for easy clean feeders and absolutely could not find any. These are wonderful and have cut my cleaning time down to a few minutes and I no longer dread changing the feeders out every 3 to 4 days. I love them and I hope you keep them in stock. They are well made and although I was afraid they would not be of quality because of the plastic bottles, I am glad to report they are sturdy and I think they will last a long time. I will be ordering more because sometimes 4 quarts are just not enough in the busy season at the end of summer.

Regarding the Dr JB Hummingbird Feeder from a happy customer: I didn’t know what to expect as I put out my Dr. JB’s Hummingbird feeder. Typically, I had never seen more than 2 Hummingbirds at my other feeder. After a few days, I noticed that the Hummingbirds had discovered it. A few days after that, I saw 5 Hummingbirds at a time vying for a place at the Dr. JB’s feeder. Needless to say, my family and I spent an enjoyable few weeks watching the activity at our feeder! On top of the birds enjoying the feeder, I was happy with how easy it is to take apart and clean. Being a busy working mom, if it would have been difficult to clean, I would have thrown it away. We just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much we appreciate Gold Crest. We are a small shop that not only sells birding supplies but also nature related gifts. Before we discovered Gold Crest it was difficult trying to buy, due to minimum orders, case lots, freight charges from every supplier, and just the amount of time it took to try and cover all the bases.

One day we were trying to find a source for Aspects Hummingbird feeders as they are our favorites and we had personally used them for several years. We called the manufacturer and they told us they only sell through distributors and gave us a list of three to contact. The first on the list was one of your competitors and they advised us we had to buy in case lots, minimum orders and pay freight, which we had come to expect, if they sold to us at all. The second distributor we called went directly to voice mail and even though we left a message, never received a return call. Next on the list was Gold Crest and when Rita talked to Brenda she immediately took the information necessary to open an account and advised she would send a new customer packet. In a few days the "monster notebook" was in our hands and we could not believe the variety of products that Gold Crest had to offer. With us being a small business, we could really appreciate no minimum quantity, no minimum order, same day shipping and especially free freight with $300 order. We thought this sounded too good to be true. But I think the most amazing thing in this day and age was an actual hand written card from the owner of the company saying he appreciated our interest and looked forward to an opportunity to do business with us.

Several days later we placed our first order and two days later it was in our store, no back orders and totally correct. That was about 2 years ago and the only changes have been for the better, with added products, website improvements and great added benefits such as the Wild Bird University.

Everyone on your staff we have dealt with have been great and Brenda has always been wonderful. It's sad these days that we expect mediocre service at best and we are amazed when we get great service.

I am sure you receive praise mail regularly and if so it is certainly deserved. I am always reminded of an oil well supply company that used to be here in Texas called the Western Company - their slogan was, "If you don't own an oil well - get one. You'll love doing business with Western". Gold Crest is the Western Company of our nature/gift shop.

I put up an old wren house last week hoping for residents. Today, I hear the song of a house wren nearby. Sure enough, there is one carrying sticks inside the house! So, I put up the Birdie Bell that I got in my goodie bag at the open house last year and within an hour I saw the wren take nesting material out of it!! I am so thrilled! Just had to share!

Hi! Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know about the success I had with the bluebird postcards. I decided to try a coupon/postcard since I didn’t have time to do a bluebird seminar this year. I ordered the bluebird postcard and did a mailing to my customer list. Normally when I do postcards I do a smaller card to take advantage of the cheaper postage so when these came I was a bit concerned about the cost of the postage. I sent them out and within 2 days not only had customers I hadn’t seen in quite a while come in to use the card but I had enough sales to pay for the cards and the postage. I’ve never had that kind of return that fast. I’m going to use the hummingbird card to advertise my hummingbird seminar in March. I really appreciate the fact that the cards were printed with my information and offer and shipped with my order. Great idea, nice job and thanks to everyone at Gold Crest!

I want to thank you for the prompt replacement of the statue with the flaking finish. It arrived yesterday afternoon and about 10 minutes later our customer came in to buy mealworms.
